Service Policies

  1. All items sharpened by H & S Sharpening are returned extremely sharp. We are not liable for any injuries, damage, or misuse that occur after services are completed. Handle all items with caution and keep them out of reach of children at all times.
  2. All sharpening sales are final, unless a clear error was made by our team. Refund requests must be initiated within 3 days of receiving your item. After that period, no adjustments or refunds will be issued.
  3. We are not responsible for damage caused by preexisting defects, rust, cracks, or normal wear that may occur during the sharpening process. Every effort is made to treat your items with care and precision.
  4. Payment is due before drop-off, and unpaid items after 30 days may be considered abandoned. Payments are made through Squarespace via invoice, with alternative methods available for customers unable to pay online.
  5. Blades made from low-grade or inexpensive steel may not hold an edge as well as higher-quality materials. H & S Sharpening is not responsible for how long an edge lasts after service, as performance depends on the steel quality, usage, and maintenance of the blade.
  6. We reserve the right to decline sharpening any item that is excessively damaged, unsafe, or unsuitable for proper sharpening.
  7. H and S Sharpening may photograph tools before and after sharpening for quality assurance and promotional use. Customer Identity will never be disclosed without consent.
